3 days / 2 nights 

Day 1: Arrival 

• The morning: Depart from the meeting point by car (the journey takes approximately 8-9 hours).

• Arrival and rest: Arrival to Siwa in the afternoon, go to the hotel, check in to the rooms, and have a rest.

• Asr: A quick descent to watch the sunset from Fatnas Island, the most beautiful place to watch the sunset.

• Evening: Return to the hotel, have dinner, and get to know the quiet Bedouin atmosphere.

Day 2: Monuments and salt lakes (the most important day)

• Morning (quick archaeological tour):

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Move on to visit Shali Castle (Old Town) in the city centre.

  • After that, head to the Mount of the Dead area to see the ancient archaeological tombs.

• Back (rest and recovery):

  • Head to the area of Salt Lakes (which is called the Maldives). You will literally swim in it without diving because of the high salinity.

  • After that, a quick visit to Cleopatra’s Spring, the oldest and most famous sulfur spring in Siwa, to swim in it.

• Evening:

  • Dinner at a Bedouin restaurant (optional). A tour of Siwa market to buy dates and olive oil.

Day 3: Light desert adventure 

• The morning:

  • Breakfast and farewell to the hotel.

  • Head for a short safari tour (4×4) in the nearby desert borders, or visit the Temple of Amun (Temple of Revelation) if time permits.

  • We can also visit the nearby Salt Cave to try photography or buy gifts.

• Afternoon: The beginning of the return to Cairo.

• Evening: Arrival to Cairo.
